The drug can be taken with or without food. However, it is advisable to avoid drinking alcohol for the next 48 hours after taking the pill. Usually, Cefixime is a well-tolerated antibiotic. Some users though can experience side effects such as vomiting, diarrhoea, mild skin rash and headaches.
